Challenge
The School Culture and Climate Initiative (SCCI) was in the very early stages of launching their digital footprint and creating their curriculum when I was connected with them. They had just finalized their newly created brand/style guide and were now looking to build their digital presence.
SCCI also had a limited budget and timeline for developing their digital presence. This meant that it was important to prioritize the most important tasks and to be efficient with their resources.
Despite these challenges, SCCI was committed to developing a strong digital presence. They understood that the digital world is an essential way to reach their target audience and promote their services and programs. I was excited to work with SCCI to help them achieve their digital goals.
Constraints
One of the main constraints faced when developing the new SCCI website was the tight deadline. The SCCI team wanted to get the website up and running within 2 months of our first conversations. This meant that I had to design the website in an effective way to mitigate as many revisions as possible.
To do this, I collaborated with the various stakeholders to gain as much perspective as I could before beginning the design process. This included understanding the SCCI brand, target audience, and goals for the website. I also reviewed the SCCI branding/style guide to ensure that the website would be consistent with the brand.
By collaborating with the stakeholders and understanding the requirements, I was able to develop a design that was both creative and efficient. I was also able to minimize the number of revisions by getting feedback on the design early and often.
Despite the tight deadline, I was able to deliver a website that met the SCCI team's expectations.
Process
My primary involvement with the School Culture and Climate Initiative (SCCI) was to assist with design direction on the brand guide and design the new responsive website. The first step was to review SCCI's newly created branding/style guide. I recommended small tweaks to be made around colors, fonts, and images to ensure that the website was accessible to all users.
Our main goal was to design an engaging responsive web experience that aligned with SCCI's newly created brand. I worked closely with the SCCI Marketing Director to understand their vision and values, and I designed a website that reflected those values.
Once the website design was finalized, I began working with a front-end developer who was contracted to assist with the build out the new website. I worked closely with the developer to ensure that the website was responsive and accessible to all users.
I was excited to work with SCCI to develop a new responsive website that would help them achieve their digital goals. The new website is user-friendly, informative, and visually appealing. It is also responsive and accessible to all users. I am confident that the new website will help SCCI to reach their target audience and promote their services and programs.
Takeaways
One of the key takeaways from the redesign is that it focused on helping SCCI sell its services. The new website includes clear and concise messaging about the benefits of SCCI's services, as well as calls to action that encourage visitors to contact SCCI for more information.
Overall, the new SCCI website is a valuable tool for helping the organization achieve its goals. The School Culture and Climate Initiative is a comprehensive support system that provides a wide assortment of resources and services that can be customized to help schools become places where the learning environment is positive and engaging for all.
